Community Impact Initiatives
From donating hearing aids and winter coats to sponsoring a middle school trip to Costa Rica, High Level Speech & Hearing Center prioritizes giving back to the Greater New Orleans Community. We are always working to foster holistic health care. In addition to treating our patients in the clinic, we also strive to create a healthier, happier, better-educated community.
High Level Believes in Giving Back
We see our patients as family, so we naturally want our family to have a safe and healthy home. That's why, since our founding in 2016, we have partnered with a number of community organizations to help children, senior citizens, and everyone in between. One of our community partners is The Beautiful Foundation, which provides a space for adolescent girls to learn and express themselves, following an evidence-based curriculum that includes financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and relationship skills. Another partner is Kinship Senior Center, which offers community classes on technology, poetry, and crafts, in addition to a theater program and on-site Meals on Wheels access.

Our Speech and Hearing Services
Besides partnering with community organizations, the most important way we empower our New Orleans family is through our speech and hearing services. Apart from offering screenings and therapy at our Uptown and Harahan clinics, we also provide mobile health services at schools, daycare centers, concerts, music festivals, and corporate sites. This allows us to reach patients who might not be able to make it to our clinics. It also promotes the early recognition and treatment of speech and hearing disorders in people who might not have noticed their symptoms yet.

Some of our most important mobile screening sites are schools. Hearing is essential to learning, not only in listening to the teacher and following instructions, but also in communicating with classmates and forming social bonds. Children with undiagnosed hearing loss may experience social isolation or depression as a result. They may even be misdiagnosed with a learning disability. For these reasons, Louisiana public and charter schools mandate hearing tests every other year for kindergarten through twelfth-grade students. By providing these hearing tests, High Level helps students achieve academic and social success. We also recommend, and can then provide, the most appropriate course of treatment, offering comprehensive speech and hearing health care to our community.
