Dear High Level Speech & Hearing Center Employees, Patients, and Community Partners:

Dear High Level Speech & Hearing Center Employees, Patients, and Community Partners:

The impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to change rapidly and is affecting our families and communities. The well being of the employees and patients of High Level Speech and Hearing Center comes first. We are closely monitoring the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19). With more cases appearing globally and concern growing daily, we wanted to provide an update on our operations as well as share information that can help you navigate through the current uncertainty. We have put the following provisions in place to ensure your health and safety.

Currently, unless advised otherwise by government administration, High Level Speech & Hearing Center plans to continue operating during normal business hours to serve our patients' needs. However, to ensure the safety of our employees and patients, all visitors and staff will be required to undergo an ear temperature check and to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting our facility. In order to protect our patients and visitors, our staff will wear gloves and some who are immunocompromised may opt to wear face masks. No unwrapped food or uncovered drinks will be allowed in our facility. Additionally, to follow the guidelines associated with social distancing, we are limiting the number of visitors to our facility. While we typically welcome all visitors, due to the recommendation of social distancing, only the patient being seen will be allowed to enter the waiting room area. If the patient is a child, this patient may be accompanied by only one adult during the duration of the visit. Additionally, due to school closure, students will be offered the option of coming into our clinic or participating in teleaudiology and telespeech therapy services with their provider. Lastly, while we pride ourselves on the personal touch, we are restricting person to person contact in compliance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) standard 6 feet apart recommendation.

As your leaders in speech and hearing services, High Level Speech & Hearing Center remains fully committed to serving you and keeping you safe. Thank you for trusting us to care for your speech and hearing needs. If you need a resource regarding how to keep your school, home and workplace safe, please visit the World Health Organization's website https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public.
